Over 25 years of Vale Brewery

In 1995, brothers Phil and Mark Stevens had a desire to provide high-quality locally brewed beers that were full of flavour, well balanced and accessible for drinkers, and Vale Brewery was born.

With a host of awards following in quick succession, Vale quickly expanded out of its Haddenham home, settling in the hill-top village of Brill, known for being JRR Tolkein's inspiration for the village of Bree in The Lord of the Rings.

Over the last 25 years, the brewery has cemented its reputation for creating fantastic brews with a consistently high bar for quality.

In 2021, Phil and Mark decided it was time for a new set of brothers to take the reigns, and sold Vale Brewery to Joe and Jimmy Brouder.

With a deep love of real ale and years working in the drinks industry across cask ale, craft beer and pubs, Joe and Jimmy are hugely excited to be leading Vale into its next chapter, and getting quality ales into the hands of drinkers up and down the country.
